"I have known Hunter Jones since approximately 2007. During this time I was introduced to Hunter as he cared for the family of a fallen Airman who I served with during his death in Iraq. Hunter was the Airman’s home station commander at the time and was doing everything he could to help the family. I quickly noticed the care and compassion Hunter had for his Airmen and their families. Throughout the year I became very well acquainted with Hunter not only in assisting the family but also while we served on boards and teams to better our organization, AFOSI. Hunter and I developed a mutual respect centered on finding ways to accomplish the mission and to take care of AFOSI’s Airmen. In late 2009, Hunter asked me to serve as the Superintendent of AFOSI Expeditionary Detachment 2405, Bagram, Afghanistan under his command.I have seen firsthand Hunter’s Jones commitment and dedication to the defense of his nation and to his Airmen. Hunter made many personal sacrifices without hesitation to ensure his Airmen were taken care of and ultimately the defense of our nation. He has led units through stressful combat situations to include improvised explosive device attacks, small arms ambush attacks, and active shooter attacks ensuring all personnel and equipment were returned to full mission capability. His leadership directed his teams to always find the truth not only for the Air Force but each one of the Airmen’s families so they understood valor in which they served. Hunter does not seek personal recognition rather ensures those under his command were recognized for their hard work. We could always count on Hunter as a strong leader.Hunter has always represented AFOSI, the Air Force, and our nation in a positive light. He is a great representative of our Air Force to other services as well our foreign partners. He is a true ambassador for our military services serving in a joint command. Additionally, Hunter is a true family man. He goes out of his way to take care of his immediate and extended family. He would come to a friend’s aid at the drop of a hat, no questions asked. Hunter can be counted on and is always there for his family, friends, Airmen, and anyone who asks. His impact is bigger than himself and it felt by everyone and everything he come into contact with. I would highly recommend Hunter for any job in any organization. Hunter is a rare servant leader that any organization would be lucky to have. If the opportunity were to present itself again, I would work for Hunter again, NO QUESTIONS ASKED."
